Duochromatic Smokey Eyes with Virginia Olsen Minerals Eyeshadow in Chameleon

Jordan Liberty of givefoodface in YouTube is one of my favorite gurus of all time. I love his professionalism, techniques, and how short yet detailed his videos are. And I personally think he's really hot! ;-) One of my favorite looks by Jordan is his Duochromatic Smokey Eyes. I love how it looks simple yet fabulous and the duochrome eyeshadow is just so beautiful!

Recently, I bought four Virginia Olsen Minerals eyeshadows and as I was checking out my new babies, I realized that the shade Chameleon, which is one of my favorites, is somewhat the same as the one Jordan used in his video. Because of that, I decided to do a look inspired by his Duochromatic Smokey Eyes. I did not copy the look per se and I used different technique but yeah, I got the idea from him. :)

Here's the look:

I am absolutely in love with VOM's Chameleon! I think it's one of a kind! You should really check out their eyeshadow collection. I just love the two-toned effect and the color itself.

I have to say that this look is one of my favorites among all of the looks that I've created because it's simple but looks edgy and like it took you quite a long time to finish but really, it's easy to do. Here's the tutorial:

Product Review: Yoko Knee and Elbow Moisturizing and Whitening Cream

They say you should love your own body but I've always been jealous to those girls with very fair and light elbows! I just don't have that! Haha! I envy those blessed fair girls that have even skin tones from face to neck down to their body to elbows to knees and feet! Ever since I was a little kid, I already have discolorations on my elbows and even on my neck. Maybe it has something to do with me being fat. Yes, I said it alright, no biggie! ;-)

I love having fair skin and it just bugs me at times that I have dark spots on my body --- elbows, knees, and ankle. The darkest spots are my elbows, next are my ankles. Maybe it's because I love seating like an Indian (Indian seat) ever since I was a child. My knees though are not that dark but last November, I had a very bad slip at our garage when I was about to ride the car. My gladiators sandals were too slippery, I don't know why! I slipped terribly and I was wounded badly on my knees, especially on my left knee. The wound was just too big. >.<

I'm sorry for the really disturbing photo but I just want to show you how big my wound was. I was wearing a pair of leggings that time and when I slipped, it was ruined big time on the knee area. You could just imagine how bad it was and how painful it was. After I got that wound, I knew that the scar would be dark because I know my body. When I get wounds, the scars are always dark and usually takes a long time to lighten (OMG! Diabetes alert!). But I never thought that it would be too darn dark! I'm sorry if I didn't take a photo of the scar right after the wound healed. It was just too dark like almost black with white spots. It's just disgusting, alright? I loathed myself for that! Haha!

So, I though it'd never lighten that much but months had passed, and I noticed that it's lightening BUT just a little bit. I told you it usually takes a really long time before my scars would lighten.

Last March while I was at Watsons, I looked for whitening products that I can use for my elbows and other dark spots on my body. I didn't care about my scar anymore that time. All I care about is my elbows. Then I saw the Yoko Underarm Lightening Cream, a new product for me (never heard of the brand before), and I thought maybe I can use it on my elbows and neck, too? I was so sure that I'm going to buy it but lo and behold! I saw the Yoko Knee and Elbow Moisturizing and Whitening Cream on the other stall. Just what I was looking for! The price is affordable at only P179.00 so I purchased it.

Product Name: YOKO KNEE AND ELBOW MOISTURIZING AND WHITENING CREAM
Price: P179.00/50g
Spotted: Watsons, SM North Edsa

The tub is small with pink lid. When you open it, the product is sealed with tin foil (Like that of Yakult). The little tub is full, so that's awesome. It has a fresh scent that kind of reminds me of the classic Nivea Creme. The cream is non-greasy and easily absorbed by the skin. What I love best about this product is that it really delivers. It is definitely moisturizing and eliminated the darkness of my body's dark spots. :)

"This cream can help to eliminate dark areas and discoloration at the knees and elbows. Extra strength formula that helps to retain conditions and moisturizes with highly effective for sensitive skin."

Direction:
Apply in a small quantity and massage daily into desired areas.

As for me, I think I apply more than "a small quantity" because I make sure that my my elbows, knees, and ankles are fully covered with the cream. I apply it twice a day, at daytime after bath and at night before I sleep. I still use lotion but I apply the cream first and let my skin fully absorb it before slathering lotion all over my body. However, I would like to admit that I don't use it everyday. There are times that I forget to use it especially when I'm in a hurry so some days, I only use it once and there are also days that I skip using the product (Other reason is laziness >.<).

However, despite of not using it religiously, the result is still awesome. I started using this March 6, 2013 and after about two-three weeks, I've noticed that the scar on my knees lightened already. My ankles are not that dark anymore, too. My elbows? They're still a little dark and uneven but it lightened as well!

Let me show you my elbows' before-and-after photos first:

Disclaimer: I used a DSLR camera (Canon Rebel T1i) on the before photos and a lower quality camera (AgfaPhoto Selecta 14) on the after shots.

You can see on the left photo that my elbow was really dark and dry while on the right photo, it is way lighter and is not dry-looking anymore. The Yoko Knee and Elbow Moisturizing and Whitening Cream really softened, moisturized and lightened my elbows.

Let's move on to that dark scar on my knees. Here's the before-and-after photo:

Let me just tell you that the after photo was taken with a teensy bit brighter light but still, you can see the comparison. I did not filter the photos (including the before and after shots of my elbows) nor tweak the brightness and contrast. The only editing that I did is crop, merge, added texts and watermark. My scar really lightened and even the whole area of my knees! I'm impressed!

I forgot to take photos of my ankles but based on the two evidences provided above, I think that's already enough to tell you that the Yoko Knee and Elbow Moisturizing and Whitening Cream works great on me. Now, I'm thinking to get the Yoko Underarm Lightening Cream. My sister wants it, too! Haha!

Now, this is all that's left on my tub:

It's still half-full so after I emptied the tub, I'm going to do another update. I would like to recommend this product because it really delivers and one of the best things about it is that it's not heavy in your pocket. ;-)

Please share your favorite whitening/lightening products, too! I might try it in the future, maybe after using this cream. :)

Stay awesome and accomplish your mission! :)

Product Rave-iew: Lauat Herbal Hair Treatment Shampoo

Last year, around early October, I noticed that I was losing a lot of hair. As in severe case of hair fall. Everytime I wash my hair, I was losing a lot of hair - and I mean a lot! Everytime I comb or brush my hair, a lot of hair falls and some even sticks on to the brush. Even when I run my fingers through my hair, a few strands of my hair will loosen and go down together with my finger as I stroke my hair down. I was starting to get scared. Hairs all over the place! In my room, bathroom, or in places where I hang out inside our house!

This all started when I used the Tresemme Conditioner. I wasn't sure if that's the culprit of my hair fall problem and I didn't want to think that it's the reason. Baka nagkataon lang because I even used and even emptied a tub of the Tresemme Hair Treatment and it didn't cause my hair to fall severely naman. So I consulted my Mother about it. She said we're going to find it out.

One day when she came home from her Chelation therapy, she brought me this hair tonic soap. Yes, a soap which is for your hair. It is an anti-hair fall, anti-dandruff and hair tonic soap. I tried it, but it just made my hair really dry. I didn't use up all the soap, I didn't finish the bar. It's just a small bar soap though. I didn't continue using it because I thought it's not working. So I went ahead and continued to search for a treatment for my hair. I posted a question on the Beauty Bloggers United group on Facebook and asked for help. I asked what is the best hair treatment for hair fall. Then a fellow beauty blogger answered (I'm really sorry I forgot who she was! :/) that I should try the Lauat Shampoo. She even gave me the link of Lauat's Facebook Page for me to check out the product. So I clicked that link.

I read all the testimonials and comments about it that were posted on their Facebook page. These are mixed testimonials from users of the Lauat shampoo and friends of the users (Hindi drugs ah, haha!) I was sold to the comments that I've read so I bought my own Lauat Herbal Hair Fall Treatment Shampoo as soon as I've learned about the product. The very next day when I came home from school, I stopped by the Mercury Drug store in front of the back gate of our University. I bought it for P208.00. And then the hair fall treatment test began. It was about middle of November when I bought it.

LAUAT HERBAL HAIR TREATMENT SHAMPOO
PRICE: P208.00/250ml at Mercury Drug, P202.00/250ml at SM Hypermarket

So, what does this shampoo contains that treat hair fall problems? Lauat contains Gugo, Virgin Coconut Oil and Lawat Leaf Extracts which are all essential for hair fall treatment, hair regrowth and scalp moisture. I've researched about it and I found this from www.dailyposh.net:

"All-natural, All-Filipino ingredients
Gugo, one of the key ingredients of the Lauat line, aids this system by increasing the micro-circulation in the scalp. This helps bring in oxygen and nutrients, which are essential in hair fall control and regrowth. Lawat’s extract, on the other hand, contains essential fatty acids, which the body needs but does not produce naturally. It acts like  food for the scalp that helps revitalize hair from the roots— hair follicles, sebaceous glands— to the tips. Unlike artificial conditioners that are greasy on the hair, VCO extracts are easily absorbed. Thus, it helps carry the two active ingredients lawat and gugo to the hair follicles resulting in nourished and moisturized scalp and hair."

(To read the complete article, please click here.)

Let me show you a photo of mine before I started using the Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo. This was taken at HG Studio last November 10, 2012 during the PROS for PROPS Basic Makeup Workshop with beauty bloggers and Clarence Paul.

Look how thin and dull my hair was in that photo. And my scalp was really noticeable like I'm about to get bald. Actually, I've had thin hair ever since but not like this. Sobra na ito!

Then I started using the Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo mid-November. After a week of usage, this is how my hair looked like:

There was no big change yet. I still have thin hair and you can still see my scalp on top view but what I've noticed was that my hair fall was lessened. I was still losing hair but not as much as before I used the shampoo. Lauat also claims that this shampoo will add volume to your hair. I haven't noticed it yet on the 1st week but on the following weeks, I started noticing that my hair is getting healthier-looking. However, the shampoo leaves my hair really dry, especially on the ends of my hair. I dyed my hair last June and haven't trimmed it since then so the ends of my hair are really damaged. When I used this shampoo, I stopped using other regular shampoos and even conditioners. But since my hair was drying from the Lauat shampoo, I decided to use a conditioner from another brand, Pregroe, which also carries hair fall treatment and hair regrowth products.

This is the Pregroe 4in1 Thickening Conditioner. It claims to nourish, thicken, fortify and protect your hair. This helped in moisturizing my hair. It's not like other regular conditioners that will really soften your hair like silk and you need a generous amount to really smoothen and soften your hair. But I love this conditioner because other than it moisturizing my hair, it smells really good like green tea. It helped in volumizing my hair even more and gave more life to my dull-looking hair. However, after consuming all of it, I decided to stop first because I wanted to see if the Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo will really control my hair fall alone and help make my hair grow back without the aid of other hair fall and hair regrowth products.

So, I continued using my Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo. Since it really bugs me that my hair gets really dry after each use, I decided to go back to regular conditioners but what I did is, after shampooing, I just apply the conditioner on to the bottom part of my hair and avoided applying it on my scalp. This routine really worked well on me and I started to see changes already. My hair fall was really lessened and my hair started to look healthy. I can also already see some baby hairs popping out from my scalp. ;-)

After two months of using the Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo, this is how my hair looked like. This was taken last January.

You can barely see my scalp on top view anymore and my hair was volumized! By this time, I was already on my second bottle. By the way, I don't wash my hair everyday (just my body) that's why a bottle of shampoo will last me quite a long time. Anyway, since I was impressed with the effect, I continued using the shampoo. By February, this is how my hair looked like already:

My hair looked way healthier compared to my photo before using the shampoo! And more baby hair started to grow on that section of my hair (Sa hati ng buhok). Really impressive, right? I was also happy that my hair fall was about 90% lessened. When I wash my hair, brush my hair and stroke my hair with my fingers, I still lose hair but three to two or even one strand only! Thank you, Lauat!

Around second or third week of February 2013, Glory of New York contacted me and gave me A LOT of products including their Hair Growth Serum. It looks really promising so to be able to test if it will work, I stopped using Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo. I went back to using regular shampoos since I thought my hair was already treated and I really wanted to see the effect of the GNY Hair Growth Serum.

After a month of using the Glory of New York Hair Growth Serum, I noticed that my hair is growing way faster and my hair became more volumized everytime I use it. BUT what I've also noticed is that, my hair fall situation is back! I started to lose hair again but the situation is not as severe as before using the Lauat Shampoo. Yes, the GNY Hair Growth Serum makes my hair grow faster and adds more volume and I love it but it turns out that I'm losing more than growing back more hair. Gets n'yo ba? So even if my hair is growing fast, at the same time I'm losing a lot of hair so parang nonsense din. I'm growing back a few hair but I'm losing a lot. Tss!

Now I realized that the Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo is really effective. It really controlled my hair fall up to 90% and if I should have just continued using it, it may even improve up to 100%. I thought it's already 99% but sadly, no. Now, this is how my hair looks like:

My scalp is visible again from top view on the section of my hair but you can't see it in the photo since it's too dark. However, I'm sure you can see my baby hairs on top of my head! They grow so fast! Thanks to Glory of New York Hair Growth Serum. If I were to compare it with Lauat, it's like this --- Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo controls my hair fall and helps in hair regrowth but the GNY Hair Growth Serum makes my hair grow even faster. The only downside to it is that it didn't really control my hair fall.

Here's a closer look of my hair from top view. Now it looks almost the same as before I use the Lauat shampoo but the difference is that my hair is not dull anymore. It's just that I started to lose hair again. You can see though the short hairs blown by the wind in the photo. Those are not bangs, those are my baby hairs! They really grow fast. I'll do a separate review about the Glory of New York Hair Growth Serum soon. My Father uses it too and it thickens his hair as well.

Since I don't want to go bald, I decided to use the Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo again but when I went to Watsons a few days ago to purchase another bottle, I saw this Nanny Rose's Gugo and Lawat Anti-hairfall Shampoo right next to it. I was intrigued by the product and asked the sales lady which is better. She said that the one from Nanny Rose's is their best seller and she even said that it's safer? Hmmm... I'm not sure about that part but I was sold when she said it's their best-seller so again, I ditched the Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo and chose the Nanny Rose's Gugo and Lawat Anti-hairfall Shampoo. Also because it smells better and it's more affordable, it's only P185.00, hihi! By the way, Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo smells a bit like medicine.

Okay, I know this is supposed to be a review of the Lauat Hair Treatment Shampoo but I featured other hair products from other brands. I just want to show you what I've also tried and what I'm currently using on my hair to solve my hair fall and hair regrowth issue. Anyway, here are my final words --- LAUAT HAIR TREATMENT SHAMPOO IS EFFECTIVE, GO AND GET IT! I highly recommend this to all of you who are also suffering from hair fall problems like me. It really works! Well, I guess you already know that based on the things I've mentioned above and based on the photos I've provided for you guys. ;-)

If you know any other hair fall products or remedies for this situation, please let me know. I really want to have thick and healthier hair! PLEASE! Haha! ^_^

First Impression: Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Soap

Ever since I've learned about the benefits of malunggay or moringa, I kind of get addicted to the brand Moringa-O2. They only carry three products, Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner, Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion and Malunggay Herbal Soap.

The first product that I've tried from this brand is the Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner which I'm absolutely in love with. It's just the best toner that I've tried (so far) because aside from all of its amazing benefits, it's very kind to my skin. It didn't break me out or make my skin sensitive. In fact, it really helps in making my skin clean, moisturized and firmer. No wonder that it is a multi-awarded beauty product. I raved so much about it here in my blog and you can read it here.

Since the Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner really impressed me, I decided to try out their Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion. I've read in different blogs from top bloggers that this is a great affordable lotion that smells like the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea perfume. And when I finally bought it, I learned that yes, it really smells like that! What a fressssssh scent! :) The scent is just a bonus. What I love about it is that it has quick absorption and non-greasy benefits but it is really moisturizing.

After trying the Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner and Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion and falling in love with them, I decided to try the Malunggay Herbal Soap to see if it's as good as the first two products as well. And also because it's the only product from Moringa-O2 that I haven't tried yet.

I bought the smaller soap (60g) since I want to try it out first if it's good for my skin. It costs P50.00 from Watsons. I just purchased this soap two days ago and it was only last night that I have first tried it. Malunggay Herbal Soap is for the face and body. When I took it out from the box, I smelled it and you know what? It smells like the Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion, too but it actually smells better. I'm in love with its scent! However, the smell doesn't linger for long.

I was a little worried to use it on my face because most bar soaps can be really drying on the skin. The only bar soap that I use on my face is the Kojie San Kojic Acid Soap and yes, I love that product and it's really meant to use for your face and body. However, you'll get this tight and dry feeling after you use it so you really have to moisturize your skin after. Anyway, I only use it when I have acne problems going on on my face and then I cease from using it once my face heals.

Continuing on with the Malunggay Herbal Soap, I washed my face last night using it and it feels gentle on the skin as I rub my face in circular motion. After rinsing off the soap, I felt just a wee bit of tightening but nothing like that dry and harsh feeling that I get from the bar soaps that I've previously tried. I love it! And my face didn't feel like super matte and dry. My skin feels supple.

I've also tried it on my whole body and the effect is just the same. It's not drying and my skin is soft and smooth. BUT I still highly recommend that you apply lotion all over your body to thoroughly moisturize your skin.

So there, that's all I can say about the Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Soap for now. I'll give you an update soon if it really is a good soap for me or if I should get rid of it. But so far, I'm really loving it.

Stay awesome and accomplish your mission! :)

Updated Skin Care Routine (April 2013)

A lot of my subscribers and followers had been asking me what are the products I currently use to take care of my skin. They thought I have a secret behind my almost flawless skin right now. To tell you honestly, I still have breakouts every now and then and a few pimple scars are still noticeable... BUT I have found my skin's new best friends which help in treating pimples in just a matter of days and lightening scars and other blemishes faster.

1. Glory of New York Facial Cleansing
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)

-     A light type of facial cleanser. Texture and formula is almost like a moisturizer or lotion but thinner. It doesn't really lather so it can be a little intimidating at first because you might think it will not thoroughly clean your skin but actually, it will really leave your skin clean, fresh, supple and smooth. However, since it is very light, it is not capable of removing excess makeup from your face. No biggie! I love how it smells! Very elegant and sophisticated and the scent lingers --- in a good way of course! Hmmmm! :)

2. Glory of New York Skin Enzyme Peel
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)

-     I consider this as a miracle product. Haha! It is basically a non-abrasive exfoliant that helps remove dead skin cells from your face. If you know Japan's no. 1 skin care product which is Cure Nature Aqua Gel, it is kind of like that, though I haven't yet used that one. But based on the reviews I've read, they have the same purpose and effect. I'm telling you, Glory of New York Skin Enzyme Peel is the best skin care product I've tried. Everytime I use it, it's like I have a new-born skin. This is what helps me achieve that almost flawless and poreless skin. ;-) Review soon!

(P89.75 at Watsons)

-     The best toner I've tried so far! I'm on my 5th bottle already and it's a strong proof that this toner loves my skin and my skin loves it, too! For toners, I usually change them after consuming 2 to 3 bottles and now that I'm on my 5th bottle, need I say more? I love it! It's light, it's moisturizing, it doesn't break me out, doesn't make my skin oily and it is an anti-aging product!

4. Glory of New York Aloe Vera All Skin Gel
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)

-     It's suitable for all skin type but people with oily skin will benefit more from this product. GNY highly recommends this to people with oily, oily-combination and super oily skin. Because of its gel-type formula, it will keep your skin matte all day. As for me, it really controlled the oiliness of my skin and it's like my skin is matte but hydrated. It's a little cool on the skin since it has aloe vera. It leaves a thin, invisible film on your skin that serves as protection from the harmful Sun rays, exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, etc. This serves as my daytime moisturizer.

The Aloe E Moisturizing Lotion is the counterpart of the Aloe Vera All Skin Gel. It suits people with dry skin best.

5. Glory of New York Fairness and Glow Cream
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)

-     The first moisturizer I've tried from GNY. I've posted photos of before-and-after of this product in my Facebook page before and you can really see the transformation. My skin became fairer and I have this healthy glow on my skin. I use it only at night because it has a dewy finish but it's not that greasy and it doesn't make my skin oily. Every morning when I wake up, I have this natural glow on my skin that I've never had before! Not kidding! Read more about this here.

6. Glory of New York Heal Cream
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)

-     I forgot to feature this in my video! From the name itself, this is a cream that heals pimples and other minor skin problems. When I have a pimple that's about to grow, I just apply heal cream on it and the bump will subside a little and the pimple will dry earlier than usual. Say about, 3 to 4 days. Because before, my pimples usually dries for about a week. This can also be applied to rough, dry and scaly skin.

7. MoringaO2 Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion
(P129.75 at Watsons)

- There are a lot of reasons why I love this lotion. It's moisturizing, has quick absorption and non-greasy formula, it's an anti-aging and anti-oxidant lotion, safe for your skin, has UVA and UVB protection so it's perfect for daytime use, it's affordable, the bottle is not too big so you can bring it anywhere you go and it smells like Elizabeth Arden's famous Green Tea perfume!!! Hmmmm! :)

8. Yoko Knee and Elbow Moisturizing and Whitening Cream
(P179.75 at Watsons)

-     This whitening cream greatly impressed me because it really delivers. It helped lighten my dark scar on my knees and my not-so-fair elbows! My ankles are a little dark too I also have a small dark and rough scar on my right ankles and this Yoko cream really helped lightened it. It didn't fully lighten the dark spots on my body though but it helped big time! Review the soonest!

That's it! For more questions, leave them as a comment below! :) If you also have your own regular skin care essentials, please do share them because I love discovering new products! :)

Virginia Olsen Minerals Summer Collection 2013 Blogger's Launch

Virginia Olsen Minerals launched their Summer Collection for 2013 just a couple of days ago, April 19. Lucky me, I was invited to the blogger's launch. Yay! ^_^

I've learned about Virginia Olsen Minerals since last year but I've never really tried any of their products. But based on the reviews, swatches and tutorials that I've seen, the eyeshadows look really pigmented. So, I was so excited to visit their office to see for myself how pigmented those eyeshadows are. Now, I can really attest to that! I've tried and swatched a lot of their eyeshadows and they are just so opaque and vibrant. I'm actually impressed by the shade Summer Sun which is a yellow eyeshadow because the color is really yellow! I mean, not all yellow eyeshadows out there are true to its color. I'm planning to get that shade soon.

These swatches on the back of my hand were swatched lightly. You can just imagine how pigmented they could even get when you put more or apply them on top of an eye primer.

The VOM Summer Collection consists of 10 new shades. Mostly are green shades since the color of 2013 is Emerald Green. These 10 new eyeshadows will be released here in the Philippines on May/June 2013 so watch out for that!

Here's Hazel, the Marketing Assistant of VOM and the lady behind dressmeupbuttercup, discussing briefly their Summer Collection.

The collection is a combination of matte and shimmer eyeshadows.

The bloggers' favorite, I think, would have to be the shade Midnight Glam which is a dark shimmer green color and so sad that I didn't get it but it's okay! I'll just wait for May/June to come and I will absolutely get that shade!

While we're all waiting for these new shades to invade the Philippines, you might want to check out their other eyeshadows that are perfect this Summer!

All of these eyeshadows are very opaque but I highly recommend the shades Summer Sun, Chartreuse, Solar Flare, Jirbie, Crescent Moon, Chameleon, Blue Eyeliner, Festival, Copper Low Luster, Planet, and Choco Eyeliner! Actually, I can go on and on and mention more shades but I will end up listing all of their shades! Haha! But the ones I've mentioned above are my personal faves!

Look at that messy table! We all went crazy in swatching all of their eyeshadows! Oh, I almost forgot to talk about the Virginia Olsen Brushes.

Virginia Olsen Minerals also has 5 new makeup brushes. The set costs P1,500.00 and it includes Sculpting Brush, Flat Top Brush, Angled Eye Contour Brush, Short Shader Brush, and Precision Pencil Brush.

I've heard that the Virginia Olsen makeup brushes are uber soft and it's true! These vegan brushes are made of synthetic Taklon bristles and they are just amazingly soft and dense. I can't wait to try out the other brushes. My favorite from this new set is the Sculpting Brush and I'm planning to complete the set because sadly, this set is just their limited edition so you might want to try them already before they're gone!

Aside from eyeshadows and makeup brushes, they also have blushes, foundations, primers, and concealers. I'm planning to try next their blushes. I already have my eyes on these three shades:

Donnarence of MyLucidIntervals was there too but she left early so she wasn't included in the group photo. It's a good thing that I took a photo with her before she left! Yay! Finally met her! :)

Here's me with Ms. Sabs Hernandez! Oh, I'm such a fan girl! Hahaha!

So glad to also meet Mhisha, Gem, and Dawn and everybody else!

Virginia Olsen Minerals gave the bloggers loots before we left so hooray for that! Thank you, VOM! ^_^

The loot includes three sample eyeshadows from their Summer Collection and two brushes from their new 2013 Brush Set Limited Edition. I'm so happy that the Sculpting Brush is included! ^_^ The four eyeshadows in the VOM pots were my own purchases, by the way. I got the shades Jirbie, Chameleon, Crescent Moon, and Blue Eyeliner. Can't wait to show you the swatches!!!

They also gave us a pamphlet of SureSlim Wellness Centre which is a weight-loss program that will correct your metabolism. So, if you're interested, please visit Virginia Olsen for inquiries. :)

Now, here's a promo that you wouldn't want to miss! The Summer Promo of the Sophia Eyelash Enhancer! From P2,750.00, it is now marked down to only P899.00! Promo ends on May 31, 2013.
