Product Review: La Doctress Cloud Blush

It seems like people are more and more getting interested with makeup here in the Philippines. What's good is that we seem to be open to try various styles of makeup may it be Western makeup looks, Korean makeup, or even drag makeup! But what I noticed is that the most common looks we are all interested with are glam makeup (the Instagram makeup as what others call it), Korean makeup (with matching glass skin effect), and the natural "gandang pulbo at lip tint" looks.

That natural makeup look appears to be more popular nowadays because first, it's easy to do, second, you'll need less products, and third, it just gives you that fresh and simple look, perfect for everyday. With this makeup trend getting more famous, I also noticed that some people umped up their "gandang pulbo at lip tint" game by doing the drunk blush method. Personally, I love that style, too. It looks cute and makes me feel prettier! :D There are different ways to achieve drunk blush but I find that cream blush is the perfect product to do it. Since water tints set more easily, I prefer cream blushes because you can control the blending and create the perfect drunk blush look.

I've tried a few cream blushes from the beauty market but I recently discovered the La Doctress Cloud Blush Tube.

Product Name: La Doctress Cloud Blush Tube
Price: Php190/tube
Available at: Kalm Cosmetics

"La Doctress Cloud Blush Tube is a silky matte cream blusher that can be worn as blush for cheeks and a color for lips and eyes. It is sweat-proof and water-resistant, and contains natural active ingredients for skin nourishment."

It also contains non-comedogenic property. So what are the active ingredients used in this cloud blush? Grape Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Vitamin E. As you can see, the product comes in a tube which is very travel-friendly. It is flat and very light so you can easily slip it in any of your makeup or "kikay" kits.

To open the tube, just simply twist the cap.

Then after using, use the pointed rod side (which is originally the top part of the cap) to close the tube.

At first, I thought once you twist the cap, it's going to be loose but trust me, it will not. It will be secured once you put back the cap, no leaking, so don't worry about making a mess accidentally inside your kit. However, it is limited to four shades only. But it's no biggie (at least for me) because the colors are beautiful and are distinct from one another. Also, they are VERY, VERY PIGMENTED! A little goes a long way so be careful when using it because you might get overwhelmed and apply too much. A dot is actually enough to add color for both your cheeks. :) A pea-sized amount is way too much already!

What's also good about it is that you can just mix the shades to create another color. In this photo, I mixed Aurora Red and Chiffon Rose on my cheeks then Peach Pearl and Fusion Coral on my lips.

The texture is silky and creamy. However, I noticed that some shades are creamier than the others and the others seem to have thinner consistency. Then again, I must have not blended the pigments enough so be sure that before opening the tube, squeeze it to blend or mix the cream blush inside to get an even and creamier consistency. Other than that, I can't really find any cons about this cream blush.

La Doctress Cloud Blush Tube is very easy to blend. It doesn't set easily so you can take your time to blend it and to build up the color. As what I have mentioned earlier, this cream blush is very pigmented so to avoid putting on too much, I suggest to just apply tiny amount and gradually build up the color until you achieve the intensity that you prefer. Remember, we're aiming for natural and drunk-blush look, not clown makeup! :D You won't really need a lot so this tube will last you for quite a while. In fact, after dabbing the cream blush onto your cheeks, you can use the excess pigment on your fingers to add color on your lips. :)

Another great thing that I like about the La Doctress Cloud Blush Tube is that it's a versatile product. You can use it on your cheeks, eyes, and lips. You can use this to add color and life on your eyes or you can use it as an eyeshadow base.

I will definitely recommend this product. I know there are a lot of cream blushers and tints in the market but one thing I absolutely love about the La Doctress Cloud Blush is that it contains those active ingredients that actually have good benefits for the skin.

You can purchase La Doctress Cloud Blush Tube from Kalm Cosmetics.

Oh, and if you're wondering what is the color result if you combined all the shades, here you go!

That's it! I hope this review helps! :)
