Hi everyone! I just want to share with you my Spa experience with Asian Secrets. I was invited by the company last October 17, 2013 to attend their product launch and to experience one of their facial treatments at their Whitening Spa located at The Block SM North Edsa. My E-max Acne Treatment Experience + SKIN giveaway!!! (CLOSED)

Hello everyone! A couple of days ago I went to SKIN Dermatology and Laser Center at The Spa Wellness in Bonifacio  High  Street. I told the resident derma that I have oily skin and she recommended the E-max Acne Treatment.

It was my first time at The Fort and I was a bit late since we got lost. Oh, my sister and my boyfriend accompanied me, by the way. 

Anyway, SKIN is located inside The Spa Wellness which is at the building 8 in Bonifacio High Street. The Spa Wellness has Barre 3 which is located at the first  floor, The Spa and SKIN Dermatology and Laser Center which are both at the second floor area. Upon entering The Spa Wellness, you'll see a small pond next to the stairs.

I love the water walls! The place is really snug and the temperature is not too cold. I also love the minty aromatic scent of the place, very relaxing!

We were welcomed by Ms. Cel Torrefranca, the Brand Manager of The Spa Wellness. She is really accommodating and she kept us company while we were waiting for my treatment.

The lobby of SKIN is so cozy and I love the interiors. That's my sister, by the way. Hehe! The attendants are nice and they even offered us drinks. My sister asked for their ginger tea which was highly recommended to us. My sister agreed after she tasted it!

This is the Syneron E-max, a versatile machine that provides a full range of aesthetic treatments such as for hair removal, acne treatment, wrinkle treatment and other skin treatments.

This is the nozzle that's used for the E-max Acne Treatment.

I love my dermatologist for my SKIN appointment, I admire her a lot! Before we began the treatment, she took the time first to answer any questions that I have and she also explained to me what is E-max Acne Treatment. I learned a lot from her and also, I have more knowledge now about toners - if it's really that important or not. I'll talk about it more in another post. :)

In E-max Acne Treatment, the combined bi-polar frequency and blue light energy of revolutionary elos technology penetrate the skin to precisely target and destroy acne-causing bacteria, slow excessive oil production, reduce active acne and speed up healing of existing acne. No downtime. It may be done once or  depending on the doctor's advice. The standard number of treatment is 8-10 sessions but according to her, it still depends on your skin's case.

By the way, please keep in mind that this is not suitable for pregnant women and lactating women.

It's too bad that I don't have photos of the actual process because I didn't ask my sister anymore to accompany me inside the room. Anyway, before we started the treatment, the nurse attendant, cleansed my face first. Nothing beats the feeling of being pampered! :)

After that, she covered my eyes as protection from the laser so I can't really see anything that they're doing and the things that they applied on my face. They generously applied a cooling gel on my face which I think is a protection for your skin.

After that, the resident dermatologist started the E-max Acne Treatment on me. She gently pressed the nozzle of the Syneron E-max on certain areas of my face. It wasn't really painful but you'll feel snapping sensation and warmth at each pass, like a rubber band being snapped against your skin. Don't worry, it's absolutely tolerable and on the softer part of the face, you will barely feel anything. After the laser treatment, the nurse attendant wiped off the cooling gel on my face. She applied Vitamin C cream on my face and sunscreen as prescribed by the derma.

The whole treatment is very quick and easy! You'll be surprised that it will take only 10-15 minutes. If you're going to sum everything including preparations, cleaning the skin, laser treatment and the finishing skin care products, it will only take 20 minutes! It wouldn't take much of your time. :)

After the whole treatment, my face felt a little slippery because of the cream that they applied on my face but it didn't look dewy or oily. Other than that, I did not see any bad effects - no redness or anything at all. I just have a very clean and smooth face. :)

Since the E-max Acne Treatment usually requires 8-10 sessions, of course you will barely see anything at the first treatment but the dermatologist said that it will lessen the oiliness of my skin and you'll see it the next day. So, the following day, I observed my face and yes, it didn't become oily though my t-zone area got a little shiny by the middle of the day but not as much as before. Also, I was surprised because the active pimple under my lips dried the very next day after the treatment!

My experience at SKIN went well! They have really good service, the staffs are very accommodating and nice and the place is clean and just so cozy, I can spend all day there!
