I used to avoid coral shades because I always thought it makes me look a little dark. I don't know what happened to me but now, I became fond of wearing coral lip colors and I think it brightens up the whole look! Totally different from what I think about it before! Now, every time I wear coral shades of lipsticks, I notice that not only will it brighten up my face but it can also make me look more youthful. :)
However, I am not a big fan of the darker shades of coral. I think those darker shades are what makes me look a little dark. The light ones, preferably with a hint of pink are my kind of coral. One example of that and one of my most favorite is the Chanel Rouge Allure in 95 Enjouee!
Let me tell you the things that I love about this lipstick --- the shade is just the perfect coral for me, it's light but long-lasting (Well, considering its formulation, for me it is long-lasting.), the packaging is interesting and it is a product of Chanel! Hahaha! This is my first Chanel lipstick that's why I'm taking good care of it and also, it is a gift from a very dear friend from Korea. :)
I've mentioned that I love its packaging not only because of its simple yet classy look but I also find this lipstick tube very interesting. The black part is the lipstick's casing and on the top part, you'll see the gold Chanel logo which is basically the bottom of the lipstick tube itself.
To open the lipstick, simply push the gold logo and the lipstick will pop out from the black casing.
You can see the light scratches on the bullet, that's because I've been using it a lot lately. It's my go-to everyday lip color. It's the perfect color for day time and for school. I also love that it matches an everyday simple look and a daytime elegant look.
Chanel Rouge Allure has a satin finish and the colors are really pigmented. My sister and my Mom also have these lipsticks and they both got pink shades which are really pigmented as well, especially the hot pink one which my sister owns. This lipstick is not really that moisturizing but my lips still feels supple even after it dries up. Chanel doesn't claim that it's long-lasting but I'm still impressed with its staying power considering that its formulation is very light. It stays on my lips for about 4 hours and by the middle of the day, the color is still there but it may already look like it is just a lip stain. Still, I'm a big fan of this lipstick! :)
This photo was taken right after I applied the Chanel Rouge Allure in 95 Enjouee:
As you can see, the color is still there even after a few hours. However, the dry skin on my lips was showing already and the color had settled a little on the crevices.
Overall, I absolutely love this lipstick! It's pigmented, the lipstick tube is very handy and the packaging is interesting, the color doesn't fade out easily and it doesn't have a pungent smell. It smells like the classic Chanel lipsticks, according to the loyal Chanel fans. I want to try out the other shades but I think I still need to save for that! Hahaha! :)
Stay awesome and accomplish your mission! :)
