Hi everyone!
I decided to film one of my most requested videos which is redefining eyebrows. I've been receiving a lot of requests and my friends kept on asking me how I do my eyebrows so, here you go! It's been almost a year since I uploaded my grooming and redefining eyebrows tutorial so here is an updated one.
In the video, the eyebrow pencil that I used is from Cinema Secrets which for me is already a bit pricey. It costs PhP 241.00 and the most expensive that I have tried is Nature Republic's Pretty Tree eyebrow pencils. As of the moment, my Cinema Secrets eyebrow pencil is the most expensive eyebrow pencil in my makeup collection. To be honest, there is no big difference at all. The reason why I bought the CS eyebrow pencil is because of its shade (blonde). But it is still comparable to those cheaper eyebrow pencils such as the ones from Ever Bilena, Nichido, San San, Fashion 21, etc. However, these eyebrow pencils from the mentioned cheaper brands mostly have creamy consistency and they really have to be set with a brow powder (or an eyeshadow with the same color) to avoid smudging. If you want less energy and effort, eyebrow pencils from Etude House, 4U2, and Nature Republic are perfect for you. Those pencils are smudge-proof, not creamy at all, looks natural and don't really need to be set with brow powder. Try Etude House Drawing Eyebrow, Nature Republic Pretty Tree eyebrow pencils, and 4U2 Dream Girl Emotion Eyebrow Pencil. There are also great eyebrow pencils from Saizen or Daiso. :)
As for the eyebrow powder, the only one that I have ever tried is In2It Waterproof Eyebrow Colour in Eyebrowns and I think I don't need to try other ones. But for the sake of comparisons, I would still like to try other eyebrow powders, hahaha! Seriously, the In2It eyebrow powder is amazing. It doesn't smudge on me, it lasts the whole day, it's very versatile because it has three shades that can suit any hair/skin color, and I also love its affordability! :) But of course, if you want to be more practical, you can just use eyeshadows to set your eyebrow pencil or to simply fill in your brows. Just be sure to use brown or taupe eyeshadows. Haha! :)
Just a quick tip: If you want to sport a natural-looking eyebrows, use a brow powder instead of an eyebrow pencil because it will appear more natural.
Remember, practice makes perfect! I gotta admit that among all of the basic makeup skills that I need to learn, grooming and redefining eyebrows is the hardest one --- EVER! It took me quite a long time to perfect doing my eyebrows. So, don't fret if you'll suck at first, we had all been there. ;-) Just keep on practicing and you will get better and better!
Talk soon!
Stay awesome and accomplish your mission! :)

This is what I've been really looking for. I'll try Etude! I hope I'll do it just fine. Hehehe! Thanks for the tutorial.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Maria! So glad you liked it. You should really try Etude House Drawing Eyebrow. :)
DeleteI agree with the things you said in this post! :) I suck at doing my brows. My brows were super ugly before. I think they're a bit better now kasi napagttiyagaan ko na silang ayusin but I'm still learning. I have the in2it brow kit too and I love it. I usually don't spend more than P200 for a brow product (haha kuripot ako) but that one's worth it. Thank you for your suggestions on what brow pencils to try! I've only tried a few. Will put your suggestions in mind for the next time I go shopping for a brow pencil :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yes! Ako din! I don't spend a lot for eyebrow tools hehe.. But yeah, the In2It brow kit is worth it. ;-) Thank you so much for sharing and thanks for agreeing with me. Hee! :)
