REVIEW: Anne Clutz Ultimate Beginner Brush Set

I finally tried the much-awaited and the most talked about NEW makeup brush set by one of the biggest YouTube vloggers in the Philippines --- the one and only, AnneClutz!!!

Grabe! Even before Ate Anne launched her makeup brush sets, people are already going gaga and are all excited to try her brushes. Eye Makeup Transitions with Paint Box Artistry (Makeup Workshop)

Last month, I was invited as a guest makeup artist in one of Paint Box Artistry's makeup workshops.  Paint Box Artistry, owned by Ms. Elaiza Basas, is known for hosting workshops for both basic and advanced makeup here in the Philippines.

The makeup workshop was a very intimate one and it was held in Go Hotels near Robinson's Pioneer. We had the makeup workshop in their conference room. This wouldn't be possible if not for my very good friend, Ms. Martha Jante, who is also a beauty vlogger. She endorsed me to Ms. Elaiza to be one of the guest makeup artists to the same workshop she would be in. We worked alongside each other to teach a small group of people about skin care and eye makeup transition. Peks Martha (that's our pet name for each other) shared with the students her skin care tips and tricks and I taught them three different eye makeup styles. The rest of the makeup workshop lectures were already tackled by Ms. Elaiza herself.

Girlstuff Forever is one of my favorite brands of nail polish. Recently, they collaborated with Disney and came up with the Minnie Mouse collection. I attended the launch a couple of weeks ago with my fellow beauty b/vloggers at Aruga by Rockwell. It's like a beauty event and a children's party in one. The kid in me was just so happy!

Glitter Tear Makeup Featuring FS Features and Shades Cosmetics

FS Features and Shades (formerly known as FS Cosmetics and Fanny Serrano Cosmetics) is one of my favorite local cosmetics. I consider it as one of the high-end brands of the local cosmetics here in the Philippines. One of their best-selling products is their very popular powder foundations and I actually collected all shades back in 2011 or 2012. I even did a review on it and you can read it here. However, when FS Features and Shades changed management and rebranded, they changed most of their products and added more to their line of cosmetics. They still have the powder foundations but they changed the packaging which, in all honesty, looks way professional and more sleek now.

Anyway, last month, FS Features and Shades invited me to join their FS Challenge Eyeshadow Art. So, yes, the focus of this makeup challenge is the eye makeup. The contest ran the whole May and they chose different winners weekly.

This is the look that I came up with.

MAD Manila (The Newest Concept Store in The Metro)

Last March, I was invited by Ms. Aileen Lubrido and Ms. Julie Ong, the owner of Mad Manila Lifestyle Hub, to attend the grand launch of MAD Manila Concept Store. According to their Facebook page, this will be the new home of more than 80 online and offline brand partners from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, offering the latest trends at their best prices. Sadly, I was not able to attend because of my busy schedule that time but they are so nice, they told me that I can still visit their store anytime I am free.

A couple of weeks ago, I was finally able to visit them! They are located at #60 EK Bldg. Don Antonio, Holy Spirit Drive, Quezon City. The day that I visited them was during their Mother's Day special sale. I came there with my sister and with a few of my fellow YouTube vloggers. Our visit at MAD Manila wouldn't be as much fun without these awesome people here!

I admit, I am not really a good model of punctuality especially in school. As a working student and a nocturnal, I always stay up late and sometimes (if not most of the times), I wake up late so I have less time to prepare. Since I have experienced that countless times already, I have found ways and mastered how to do a quick and easy look perfect for any daytime occasions.

Usually, a little concealer, powder, eyebrow mascara, mascara, and lip stain are my life savers! I like non-abrasive exfoliants because they are gentler on the skin and do the job well. I have tried a few gel exfoliants before and the best I have tried is the one from Glory of New York. Unfortunately, it's pricey for me and it's available from distributors only so you don't have an easy access with their products. That's sad because their products are really great! To those of you who aren't aware yet, Sleek Makeup is finally here in the Philippines! It is one of the makeup brands known to have excellent pigmentation! I remember a few years back, Sleek Makeup was very popular in the beauty blogging community. I wasn't able to try them back then because sadly, they were only available online. And now, they finally launched here in the Philippines! Easier access and at least we get to personally test the products so we won't end up buying the wrong shades.
