According to Kantar WorldPanel, a company that studies the buying behaviour of the local consumers, they have concluded, 72% of Filipino women spend a lot on beauty products.
I admit that I'm one of those 72% Pinays. I've always been fond of beauty-related stuff and that's one of the main reasons why I am in the beauty industry now. I remember when I used to search for articles regarding the latest trends about skin care, makeup, health, and other things related to beauty. I'm sure a lot of Filipino women do this, too. We even have beauty forums where the members share information, their knowledge about beauty, even videos and articles.
Filipina women always look for mediums where they can find information on the latest beauty, wellness, and health and slimming trends available. Healthy Skin Magazine has answered this with conviction.
Healthy Skin Magazine is the first magazine in the Philippines designed to enlighten the readers on trends and advancements in dermatology and cosmetology. It demystifies beauty fads by featuring clinically-approved, non-invasive products and treatments with fun and engaging contents. This helps the readers determine what best suits their need and preferences.
I was invited to the Beauty in Full Bloom Blogger Party last November 21 at Stacy's in BGC hosted by Healthy Skin Magazine and Skin Perfection Philippines. They unveiled their latest issue with Jean Garcia on the cover. Aside from that, Healthy Skin Magazine was basically introduced in the event. It was honestly my first time to hear about them and I am pleased to have this kind of magazine here in our country. They gave us copies of their magazines and I'm impressed with the articles and information that I've read and I definitely gained more knowledge in the beauty department.
When I got at the event, it was jam-packed with gorgeous ladies. It wasn't my usual beauty crowd because most of the people there were new faces for me but I'm glad to see other fellow bloggers. Since I didn't know most of the guests, I was happy to be seatmates with my fellow beauty blogger and friend, Sam Lanuza of dishysammy.
Before the program started, the ladies enjoyed delicious and scrumptious treats by Stacy's. I personally love their chicken!
Now, onto the event proper. Ms. Jenny Bonto, the Associate Publisher of Healthy Skin Magazine welcomed the guests and she also explained the magazine's deck or basically, what can we find in their magazine
The event was also graced by a board-certified dermatologist of Philippine Dermatological Society, Dr. Carmela Samonte, the Dermatology Section Head of Aesthetic Concepts Samonte Clinic. Here is a photo of her as she shares her expert tips on maintaining the skin's youthful glow. A question and answer session also followed after her speech. I absolutely learned a lot about her like the food that we eat are actually the last things that we should consider regarding the causes of our pimples and acne.
Skin Perfection Philippines, of course, also joined us that afternoon. They are one of the premium skin care innovations that can be found in more than 600 dermatological clinics around the metro. The Skin Perfection Clinical Solutions is composed of a basic and intensive treatment program. It offers effective and sustainable solution to correct various skin problems, including acne inflammation, hyper-pigmentation, and aging skin associated with loss of elasticity. Here is Ms. Grace Garcia-Cruzat, training consultant at Skin Perfection Philippines, talking about the brand and demonstrating the oxygen facial.
Here are the products of Skin Perfection. The packaging looks really elegant!
Skin Perfection's products aroused my curiosity that's why I was so thrilled when they gave us trial sets! Yay! I chose the whitening line. Again, Skin Perfection products are only available in chosen dermatological clinics in the metro.
A few other freebies from the event. Thank you, Healthy Skin Magazine and Skin Perfection Philippines!
