Blue Smokey Eyes

I have a lot of different eye shadows from different brands in my makeup collection that I already forget to use some of them. Most of them have really good quality that's why as much as possible, I try to use them all para naman hindi sayang. One of those are my Virginia Olsen Minerals eye shadows! They have great pigmentation and wide range of shades. I think the reason why I rarely use them is because they're quite messy to use since they are like loose pigments. Anyway, since I realized that I rarely use them, I decided to do a tutorials using VOM eye shadows.

Most of the makeup looks that I do have neutral colors so I decided to do a wearable look that didn't include brown eye shadows. Here's a wearable blue smokey eyes that I did using Virginia Olsen Minerals eye shadows.

I used the shades Jirbie and Crescent Moon then the Virginia Olsen Mineral Blue Eyeliner. To intensify the look, I added a black eye shadow. Here's a closer look:

If you want to recreate this look, here's the video tutorial:

Since the eye makeup is already dramatic, I just used a light neutral lip color.

You can pair it with a light pink lip color, too!

If you're going to wear this look, what lip color would you pair it with? I think I like the nude one better. :)

PLUS SIZE OOTD + FOTD (072213): VOM Appointment and Teriyaki Boy Date!

Hi everyone!

Last Monday, my boyfriend and I went to Annapolis because I have an appointment with Virginia Olsen Minerals to pick up the prizes for my upcoming meet-and-greet! YEY! While I was at VOM's office, my boyfriend wandered around Greenhills Shopping Center as he waited for me. It was also our 57th month that day so it's also kind of a date. Hihi! We don't usually celebrate the so-called "monthsary" but since we're already out, might as well celebrate it just a little bit. Hehe!

Anyway, I want to share with you my OOTD and FOTD last Monday.

Love my just-bitten lips! I mixed ELF Lip Stain in Crimson and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten.

This is how I usually dress up for casual days. My wrap sweater and pants are both from a bazaar at Circle C. My studded black loafers are from Parisian Plus.

Look at my camera pendant! I have that for 3 years now! :)

Just used a pair of black studs for my earrings. :)

Capture each moment! :)

After my meeting with Virginia Olsen, I met my boyfriend in Teriyaki Boy at The Promenade to have our late lunch. Just thought I'd share what we devoured that day! Hihi!

Kani Salad for us! Yummers! I always order this whenever we dine in at Teriyaki Boy. Only for P139.00!

Agedashi Tofu for me! Lincon didn't like it. He said he doesn't like soft, almost slimy food like this. Haha! Masarap kaya!

We both ordered Katsudon - my favorite at Teriyaki Boy!

Oh, I'm so excited for my first ever meet-and-greet! Can't wait to show you what I got from Virginia Olsen Minerals! :)

Stay awesome and accomplish your mission! :)

The Project Awesome's June 2013 Favorites

Are you kidding me? Already half of the year had passed! Bilis talaga! Yesterday, we welcomed the 7th month of the year and for beauty bloggers, that means it's time for sharing your monthly favorites. Hahaha! So, here I am, sharing with you the awesome products that I've been using a lot this past month.

1. Glory of New York Translucent Powder No. 1 and 2
- I used to avoid translucent powders because I always thought that it would leave a white cast on my face. I was scared to use them until I conquered my fear (LOL) and tried one of the products that Glory of New York sent me - their Translucent Powder. I use shades 1 and 2 but mostly no.2 this past month. I must say that translucent powder is my new favorite kind of powder! It just seals my makeup and keeps oiliness at bay! Sometimes, I only use concealer and set it with this translucent powder. It's just a whole new me! Before you can't let me finish my makeup without setting my foundation or concealer with a colored powder but now, I can ditch my pressed powders and just stick with my beloved translucent powder. Hihi! The Glory of New York Translucent Powder really makes my makeup last all day, keeps oiliness at bay for long hours especially on my eyes (I have very oily lids) and my t-zone area. Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for your orders and inquiries. :)

2. Glory of New York Total Coverage Foundation No. 210
- Hands down, one of the best foundations I've tried! I'm not a fan of cream foundations but this changed my whole perspective. It provides amazing coverage that's perfect for videography and photography. It stays on for long hours and doesn't wears off or slides off. Of course, I only use this occasionally since the coverage is medium to full. I'll be writing a thorough review about this very soon. :) Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for your orders and inquiries. :)

3. Glory of New York Total Cover Up Concealer No. 104
- In times when I'm too lazy, I just conceal my dark circles and other imperfections on my face. I found myself always reaching for this concealer because it has good coverage and even though it's a cream concealer, it doesn't cake and doesn't move even when I sweat. Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for your orders and inquiries. :)

4. Glory of New York Dual Foundation No. 42 / No. 29
- This is also one of the best powder foundations that I've tried. The texture is smooth and silky and doesn't fade out easily. Longevity is awesome! When I'm not in the mood to do full on makeup but wants a little more coverage, I apply concealer and use this powder foundation to set everything. Amazing results, I'm telling ya! Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for your orders and inquiries. :)

5. Glory of New York Mineral Blush in No. 41
- Great color payoff, impressive staying power and gives me a healthy glow on my face. 'Nuff said. Read my review about Glory of New York Mineral Blushes here. ;) Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for your orders and inquiries. :)

6. Glory of New York Lipstick in No. 635
- Okay, you all know how much I love my GNY lipsticks but last June, I always reach for the shade no. 635! It is a mauve color that's perfect for any occasion! :) Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for your orders and inquiries. :)

7. Essence Get Big! Lashes Volume Curl Mascara
- THE BEST drugstore mascara everrrrr! It really saves my thin eyelashes all the time! It gives length, volume and thickness to my eyelashes and the best part is that it's very affordable for only P169.00! :)

8. Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set
- I hit pan on my In2It Waterproof Eyebrow Color already but I haven't emptied it yet but I always find myself reaching for this brow set everytime I do my brows! Since I've been using it a lot, In2It brow powder is always left hanging, waiting to be emptied. Haha! I've written a review about the Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set and if you haven't read it yet, click here. :)

9. Cara Airfit BB Cream
- I'm not a big fan of BB creams but I think this is, by far, the best BB cream that I've tried. Impressive longevity and covers up imperfections well. Read my review about it here. Please visit MyrSkin on Facebook for your orders and inquiries. :)

10. Fashion 21 Perfect Stick with Tea Tree Oil
 - This stick concealer from Fashion 21, I must say, is one of the best local cosmetics in the market. Well, that's just me, ha but I am really loving this stick concealer. It can be used as foundation, too! Coverage is light to medium and stays on for long hours as well. To know more about it, please click here. I've been using this a lot to school! :)

11. Fashion 21 Defining Eyeliner in Black
- It may not be the best local eyeliner but I don't know why I keep on reaching for this whenever I do my eye makeup. It's not the blackest eyeliner that I own but I love using this in tightlining my eyes and using it as a base sometimes for my eyeshadow. It's only P100.00, FYI! :)

12. Artist Studio Angled Brush
- Soft bristles, not super dense but dense enough to use in applying blush, bronzer and contouring powder. This brush has awesome quality yet super affordable at around P150.00 or maybe even less! Try it out! I got this from Landmark, Trinoma. :)

13. Virginia Olsen Minerals Sculpting Brush
- The name of the brush explains it, it's the perfect sculpting brush or contouring brush! It just makes it easier for me to achieve that gorgeous sculpted cheek bones to make my face look slimmer. The bristles are cruelty-free, uber soft and very gentle on the skin. :) Please visit Virginia Olsen Minerals on Facebook for more inquiries. :)

14. Beauty Cosmetics Natural Blending Eye Brush
- This super affordable blending brush is made out of high-quality goat hair. The bristles are surprisingly soft even though it looks a little porous. It blends eyeshadow faster than my older blending brushes. Please visit Beauty Cosmetics on Facebook for your orders and inquiries. :)

Okay, so these are all my June 2013 favorites! I know I've featured 6 Glory of New York products but what can I say, I love their stuff! :) Share your monthly favorites, too! :)

Stay awesome and accomplish your mission! :)

Recent Hauls and Favorites (March - April 2013)

I can't believe that it's the last month of Summer vacation already! I haven't really felt yet that it's vacation and just a few more weeks, I'll be going back to school again. Jeeeez! >.<

Anyway! The thumbnail that you see above is a video about my recent hauls and favorites, including products from March to April. That's why the video is quite long because I showed a lot of items. For you to see a closer look of the products that I featured in the video, here is the list with photos:

HAUL:

1. Brown Gladiator Sandals, size 43 (P699.75 / Parisian Plus, SM North Edsa)
     - Love matching this pair with casual looks, bohemian outfits and with my maxi dresses.

2. Black Studded Loafers, size 43 (P699.75 / Parisian Plus, SM North Edsa)
     - Very comfortable on the feet! This is my favorite everyday/casual footwear. And the studs just give an additional oomph, don't you think? ;-)

3. White Wedges, size 11 (P1,500.00 / Payless Shoe Source, SM North Annex)
     - I'm not really used to wearing this kind of shoes, pumps, stilettos and the likes because I'm already tall and I'm not comfortable at all when I wear high heels. I only use this for special occasions and for church. :)

4. Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner (P89.75 /Watsons)
     - Repurchased for the 5th time! I just love this toner that much! Click here to read my review about it.

5. Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Soap (P65.00, 60g / Watsons)
     - One of the best soaps I've tried. I recently wrote a first impression post about it. Click here to read the article. Reviewing it thoroughly soon!

6. Nanny Rose's Gugo and Lawat Anti-hairfall Shampoo (P185.00 / Watsons)
     - It works! It controls my hairfall problem and the best thing is that, it has a cooling effect! Haha! Review soon! :)

7. MoNDES Professional Ionic Keratin Hair Treatment (P109.00 / Watsons)
     - My current shampoo, which is the Nanny Rose's Gugo and Lawat Anti-hairfall shampoo really makes my hair dry so I terribly need a conditioner or hair treatment to condition my hair and to make it soft and smooth. I bought this because it contains keratin which helps make your hair healthy (also your skin and nails). This particular product is good, it makes my hair soft and smooth but I think it's comparable to other hair treatments out there.

Prizes from winning Beekyote's blog giveaway:

8. Wet N Wild Mega Eye Creme Liner
9. Wet N Wild ColorIcon Palette in Silent Treatment
10. Wet N Wild Megalast Matte Lipstick in Smokin' Hot Pink

     - Review of these WnW products soon! :) Thank you so much for these awesome additions to my makeup collection, Bee! :)

11. Sample pot of Prom Night - purple matte eyeshadow from their newest collection
12. Sample pot of Sphink - light yellow shimmer eyeshadow from their newest collection
13. Sample pot of Forest - green matte eyeshadow from their newest collection
( Read my post about VOM's newest collection here.)
14. VOM Eyeshadow in Crescent Moon (P150.00)
     - a beautiful iridescent shade perfect for highlighting!
15. VOM Eyeshadow in Jirbie (P150.00)
     - blue shimmer eyeshadow with gold flexes, love this so much!
16. VOM Eyeshadow in Chameleon (P150.00)
     - a duochromatic eyeshadow --- looks like a rust shimmer eyeshadow with blue flexes! Probably one of my most favorites out of all the VOM eyeshadows! Click here to watch my makeup tutorial using this eyeshadow.
17. VOM Eyeshadow in Blue Eyeliner (P150.00)
     - a very opaque electric blue shade!

18. VOM Short Shader Brush from their new 2013 Brush Set Limited Edition
19. VOM Sculpting Brush from their new 2013 Brush Set Limited Edition

     - Cruelty-free and vegan brushes! Review soon! The sculpting brush is awesome! :)

FAVORITES:

1. Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion (P129.75 / Watsons)
     - Moringa-O2 must be an awesome brand! Haha! All of their products are included in this post. Well, yes, I love all of their products. This lotion is my current favorite lotion because it has a quick absorption formula and non-greasy, too so it's perfect for the very hot and humid weather of the Philippines right now!

2. Glory of New York First Base Foundation Primer
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)
     - When you apply it, you'll be surprised because it seems super oily but as you spread and rub it onto your skin, it will eventually be absorbed by your skin and will dry completely, leaving you with minimized pores and a smooth canvass for your makeup!

3. Glory of New York Skin Enzyme Peel
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)
     - I've said it a hundred times and I'l say it again, this is the product that helped me achieve an almost poreless and flawless skin! Watch the demo video here to see how it works!

4. Fashion 21 Roll'n Dazzle in Pink Diamond (P85.00 / Watsons)
    - Yes it's an eyeshadow but I use it as a highlighter and in fact, it's the best highlighter I've tried so far! I just love the glow it gives on my face! :) Review here.

5. Maybelline BB Silk Poreless White Cake Powder in Nude Beige (P329.00 / Watsons)
     - Has a flawless finish and medium coverage. It's my go-to powder nowadays. I just think that I picked the wrong shade because it looks a little light on me, but still, it's okay! :) Review soon!

6. Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara (P225.00 / Landmark, Trinoma)
    - Another affordable but awesome find! It does a great job in lengthening and separating my eyelashes and it doesn't transfer so it's two thumbs up for me! Review the soonest! :)

7.  Nature Republic Pretty Tree Auto Eyebrow in No. 3 (P170.00 / Nature Republic, The Block)
 - My original roots are growing back and I'm back in using darker shades of brow pencils/powders. I find myself always reaching for this eyebrow pencil whenever I do my makeup maybe because it's convenient to use since it comes with a spoolie already and the lead of the pencil is flat and slanted, making it easier for you to shape your brows. Also, you won't be needing a brow powder to set it anymore. It has a good staying power, too! I have a demo video for this one, click here.

8. Chanel Rouge Allure in 95 Enjouee (pasalubong from a friend)
     - Perfect for everyday looks because it's simple but the color is so beautiful. It's a pinky coral shade. I always get compliments whenever I wear this. I'm in love with it and the packaging is interesting, don't you think? Oooh you don't know about its packaging yet? Click here to see why it's interesting (at least for me)!

9. Glory of New York Lipstick in no. 30
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)
     - I've bee loving coral hues lately, especially when it comes to lip products. One of my favorite lippies lately, aside from Chanel Rough Allure in 95 is this lipstick from Glory of New York in the shade 30. It's a darker shade of coral though, almost like a red-orange color. I love it! The color screams SUMMER!

Phew! That's a lot of products! Well, that's it for my recent hauls and favorites! What are the products that you're currently loving! Share them, too! :)

Stay awesome and accomplish your mission! :)

Duochromatic Smokey Eyes with Virginia Olsen Minerals Eyeshadow in Chameleon

Jordan Liberty of givefoodface in YouTube is one of my favorite gurus of all time. I love his professionalism, techniques, and how short yet detailed his videos are. And I personally think he's really hot! ;-) One of my favorite looks by Jordan is his Duochromatic Smokey Eyes. I love how it looks simple yet fabulous and the duochrome eyeshadow is just so beautiful!

Recently, I bought four Virginia Olsen Minerals eyeshadows and as I was checking out my new babies, I realized that the shade Chameleon, which is one of my favorites, is somewhat the same as the one Jordan used in his video. Because of that, I decided to do a look inspired by his Duochromatic Smokey Eyes. I did not copy the look per se and I used different technique but yeah, I got the idea from him. :)

Here's the look:

I am absolutely in love with VOM's Chameleon! I think it's one of a kind! You should really check out their eyeshadow collection. I just love the two-toned effect and the color itself.

I have to say that this look is one of my favorites among all of the looks that I've created because it's simple but looks edgy and like it took you quite a long time to finish but really, it's easy to do. Here's the tutorial:
