FOTD (071913): Smokin' Hot Pink!

Hi everybody!

I'm back to share another late FOTD with you guys. This was my look yesterday and nothing really special actually but I love it because the foundation and the lipstick that I used here are two of my new makeup products.

The lipstick was still sealed yesterday and it was literally my first time to use it. This is Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick in Smokin' Hot Pink, by the way. I love Wet N Wild lippies and this has got to be my favorite shade (so far)! I just love how it instantly brightened up my face and how it makes a very simple look gorgeous! As usual, I just applied mascara on my eyes for that simple and clean look then paired it with a bold lip color. This is such a perfect combo! :) Ooh, by the way, I love my foundation here. It was also my first time to use it and I instantly fell in love with it. It's the Essence Soft Touch Mousse Make-Up!

Recent Hauls and Favorites (March - April 2013)

I can't believe that it's the last month of Summer vacation already! I haven't really felt yet that it's vacation and just a few more weeks, I'll be going back to school again. Jeeeez! >.<

Anyway! The thumbnail that you see above is a video about my recent hauls and favorites, including products from March to April. That's why the video is quite long because I showed a lot of items. For you to see a closer look of the products that I featured in the video, here is the list with photos:

HAUL:

1. Brown Gladiator Sandals, size 43 (P699.75 / Parisian Plus, SM North Edsa)
     - Love matching this pair with casual looks, bohemian outfits and with my maxi dresses.

2. Black Studded Loafers, size 43 (P699.75 / Parisian Plus, SM North Edsa)
     - Very comfortable on the feet! This is my favorite everyday/casual footwear. And the studs just give an additional oomph, don't you think? ;-)

3. White Wedges, size 11 (P1,500.00 / Payless Shoe Source, SM North Annex)
     - I'm not really used to wearing this kind of shoes, pumps, stilettos and the likes because I'm already tall and I'm not comfortable at all when I wear high heels. I only use this for special occasions and for church. :)

4. Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Facial Toner (P89.75 /Watsons)
     - Repurchased for the 5th time! I just love this toner that much! Click here to read my review about it.

5. Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Soap (P65.00, 60g / Watsons)
     - One of the best soaps I've tried. I recently wrote a first impression post about it. Click here to read the article. Reviewing it thoroughly soon!

6. Nanny Rose's Gugo and Lawat Anti-hairfall Shampoo (P185.00 / Watsons)
     - It works! It controls my hairfall problem and the best thing is that, it has a cooling effect! Haha! Review soon! :)

7. MoNDES Professional Ionic Keratin Hair Treatment (P109.00 / Watsons)
     - My current shampoo, which is the Nanny Rose's Gugo and Lawat Anti-hairfall shampoo really makes my hair dry so I terribly need a conditioner or hair treatment to condition my hair and to make it soft and smooth. I bought this because it contains keratin which helps make your hair healthy (also your skin and nails). This particular product is good, it makes my hair soft and smooth but I think it's comparable to other hair treatments out there.

Prizes from winning Beekyote's blog giveaway:

8. Wet N Wild Mega Eye Creme Liner
9. Wet N Wild ColorIcon Palette in Silent Treatment
10. Wet N Wild Megalast Matte Lipstick in Smokin' Hot Pink

     - Review of these WnW products soon! :) Thank you so much for these awesome additions to my makeup collection, Bee! :)

11. Sample pot of Prom Night - purple matte eyeshadow from their newest collection
12. Sample pot of Sphink - light yellow shimmer eyeshadow from their newest collection
13. Sample pot of Forest - green matte eyeshadow from their newest collection
( Read my post about VOM's newest collection here.)
14. VOM Eyeshadow in Crescent Moon (P150.00)
     - a beautiful iridescent shade perfect for highlighting!
15. VOM Eyeshadow in Jirbie (P150.00)
     - blue shimmer eyeshadow with gold flexes, love this so much!
16. VOM Eyeshadow in Chameleon (P150.00)
     - a duochromatic eyeshadow --- looks like a rust shimmer eyeshadow with blue flexes! Probably one of my most favorites out of all the VOM eyeshadows! Click here to watch my makeup tutorial using this eyeshadow.
17. VOM Eyeshadow in Blue Eyeliner (P150.00)
     - a very opaque electric blue shade!

18. VOM Short Shader Brush from their new 2013 Brush Set Limited Edition
19. VOM Sculpting Brush from their new 2013 Brush Set Limited Edition

     - Cruelty-free and vegan brushes! Review soon! The sculpting brush is awesome! :)

FAVORITES:

1. Moringa-O2 Malunggay Herbal Moisturizing Lotion (P129.75 / Watsons)
     - Moringa-O2 must be an awesome brand! Haha! All of their products are included in this post. Well, yes, I love all of their products. This lotion is my current favorite lotion because it has a quick absorption formula and non-greasy, too so it's perfect for the very hot and humid weather of the Philippines right now!

2. Glory of New York First Base Foundation Primer
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)
     - When you apply it, you'll be surprised because it seems super oily but as you spread and rub it onto your skin, it will eventually be absorbed by your skin and will dry completely, leaving you with minimized pores and a smooth canvass for your makeup!

3. Glory of New York Skin Enzyme Peel
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)
     - I've said it a hundred times and I'l say it again, this is the product that helped me achieve an almost poreless and flawless skin! Watch the demo video here to see how it works!

4. Fashion 21 Roll'n Dazzle in Pink Diamond (P85.00 / Watsons)
    - Yes it's an eyeshadow but I use it as a highlighter and in fact, it's the best highlighter I've tried so far! I just love the glow it gives on my face! :) Review here.

5. Maybelline BB Silk Poreless White Cake Powder in Nude Beige (P329.00 / Watsons)
     - Has a flawless finish and medium coverage. It's my go-to powder nowadays. I just think that I picked the wrong shade because it looks a little light on me, but still, it's okay! :) Review soon!

6. Fashion 21 Double Up Mascara (P225.00 / Landmark, Trinoma)
    - Another affordable but awesome find! It does a great job in lengthening and separating my eyelashes and it doesn't transfer so it's two thumbs up for me! Review the soonest! :)

7.  Nature Republic Pretty Tree Auto Eyebrow in No. 3 (P170.00 / Nature Republic, The Block)
 - My original roots are growing back and I'm back in using darker shades of brow pencils/powders. I find myself always reaching for this eyebrow pencil whenever I do my makeup maybe because it's convenient to use since it comes with a spoolie already and the lead of the pencil is flat and slanted, making it easier for you to shape your brows. Also, you won't be needing a brow powder to set it anymore. It has a good staying power, too! I have a demo video for this one, click here.

8. Chanel Rouge Allure in 95 Enjouee (pasalubong from a friend)
     - Perfect for everyday looks because it's simple but the color is so beautiful. It's a pinky coral shade. I always get compliments whenever I wear this. I'm in love with it and the packaging is interesting, don't you think? Oooh you don't know about its packaging yet? Click here to see why it's interesting (at least for me)!

9. Glory of New York Lipstick in no. 30
(Please visit Queen B. on Facebook for inquiries)
     - I've bee loving coral hues lately, especially when it comes to lip products. One of my favorite lippies lately, aside from Chanel Rough Allure in 95 is this lipstick from Glory of New York in the shade 30. It's a darker shade of coral though, almost like a red-orange color. I love it! The color screams SUMMER!

Phew! That's a lot of products! Well, that's it for my recent hauls and favorites! What are the products that you're currently loving! Share them, too! :)

Wet N Wild Megalast Lipsticks in Mauve Outta Here and Dollhouse Pink

Hi everyone!

I know almost all of you already know about Wet N Wild Megalast lipsticks because they're not actually new. However, it's my first time to try out these lipsticks and thanks to Stuff N' Shop for sending me two WnW Megalast lipsticks! :) Aileen, the owner of Stuff N' Shop sent me the shades Mauve Outta Here and Dollhouse Pink. She even added a blushable creme stick by NYC and a Santa Claus pen! Hihi! :) I was so glad that one of the shades is Mauve Outta Here because I've been meaning to buy it because I thought the color looks really pretty.

The shade Mauve Outta Here is actually more of a pink color than mauve in person. It reminds me of NYX Matte Lipstick in Natural. Their shades are almost the same. I love it! It's great for everyday makeup looks and I think it will suit any skin color.

The shade Dollhouse Pink is a barbie-pink color which will really catch people's attention because of its brightness. This shade naman reminds me of NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Dolly Pink. :) I love this lip color! Now this one, I don't think anyone can pull it off that easily. But if you have the confidence and if you are comfortable to wear bright lip colors such as this one, then that would be awesome because it'll fit you like a glove! :) This is the kind of colors that I really love to wear.

These Wet N Wild Megalast lipsticks are very pigmented. I have swatched almost all of their shades whenever I visit Wet N Wild counters. Finally, I now own two shades. :) One thing that I noticed about these lipsticks is that it can be a bit drying on the lips but if you moisturized your lips prior to applying the lipsticks, then it will be just fine. The first time that I tried it kasi, I forgot to moisturize my lips so never neglect your lip balms. Regardless what brand of lipsticks or type you are going to use. These lipsticks are matte, by the way. Another thing that I noticed is that the light shades might accentuate your dry lips. When I tried the Dollhouse Pink, my lips are super dry and after applying the lipstick, the dry skin and cracks are really showing off. So, I exfoliated my lips first using my toothbrush to remove the dry skin and have a smoother lips then re-applied the Dollhouse Pink and it was awesome! :)

I love, love, love these lipsticks! The packaging also passed my standard and taste. It's sturdy enough plus the lipstick bullet is long so this will last you for quite a while. These are also available in many different shades so go ahead and get crazy in choosing what you like! I think I'll buy the shade Sugar Plum Fairy next time. :)

The mall price of the Wet N Wild Megalast Lipstick is PhP 299.00. Stuff N' Shop sells these lippies for only PhP 200.00! Add Stuff N' Shop on Facebook if you want to purchase the WnW megalast lipsticks and if you want to check out their other products. :)

FOTD (September 20, 2012): Not-You-Ordinary-Barbie / Megaworld Event

Hi everyone!

Yesterday we went back to GB5 for Mama's 4th therapy then after that, we went straight to The Peninsula Manila for Megaworld's launching event. I tried the sock curls and I loved it! The night before yesterday, I curled my hair using my Papa's clean socks and I slept with them tied on my hair. When I woke up, I showered, did my makeup and then I released the curls and oh my! I was really impressed at how the socks really gave my hair wonderful curls! I didn't know about the Megaworld event until I woke up and I thought my curly hair was perfect for the event! Jackpot! Haha! :) It's like I had really prepared for it.

For the makeup, I used a new foundation and for the first time, I used a high-end HD foundation. I used Kryolan HD Micro Foundation Mattifying Liquid and boy it was awesome! I didn't even set my foundation with powder, except the eye area because  prepped it for my eye makeup. FYI, I'm not the kind who doesn't set her foundation and likes the dewy finish. I like my foundation matte but not flat, of course. I have combination-oily skin kasi. Anyway, this foundation is amazing because it gives a flawless finish and it dries matte! I'll do a review about this soon!

I did a very subtle smokey eyes and paired it with barbie-pink lips. Some of the products that I used in this look are new and it's the first time that I've tried them and I loved them all!

FOTD (Sept. 17, 2012): Not-So-Mauvey

Hi everyone!

Yesterday, we went back to RaphaHealth at GB5 for my Mama's 3rd treatment/therapy. You might be thinking why do I still have the urge to glam up and all when my Mother is undergoing a treatment. Well, her case is not really that serious. The treatment is just to keep her healthier and avoid future sickness since she's not getting any younger.

Anyway, I just want to show you yesterday's FOTD. It's nothing too fancy but I just want to share it because yesterday as I started to do my makeup, my brother handed me a new package that had just been delivered in our house. It's from Stuff N' Shop! Aileen of Stuff N' Shop sent me two Wet N Wild lipsticks and a cream blush stick by NYC. I was happy and excited that's why I decided to use the items already because I couldn't wait any longer to try them out! I used one of the lipsticks and the blush stick.

It's a very simple and easy look!

Battle of the Jumbo Eye Pencils (NYX, L.A. Colors, Wet N Wild)

NYX, L.A. Colors and Wet N Wild are sister companies (that's why most of their products are almost the same) and all of them have jumbo eye pencils. I did a video review about these jumbo eye pencils and here's the thumbnail if you're interested to watch the video. :)

The colors are very pigmented! Let me give you my thoughts on each of these pencils.

NYX JUMBO EYE PENCIL

The reason why I love the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils is because of Xteeener. She made me love these jumbo pencils and even the other NYX cosmetics! I have seen first the jumbo eye pencil in Black Bean in one of her videos and I fell in love with it. That's why when I found out that there are a lot of online stores selling NYX cosmetics, I promised myself that I would purchase the jumbo eye pencils and first on the list is Black Bean. A few months ago, finally I got the chance to try it out and it was awesome. I don't like using it as an eyeliner though because it's too big but I love using it as an eyeshadow base. Since then I told myself that I'm going to collect the NYX jumbo eye pencils and so far, I have already collected 5. The shades that I have are Black Bean, Milk, French Fries, Purple and Pots and Pans.

I love the NYX jumbo eye pencils because they are very pigmented, there's a wide range of colors to choose from, they're great as eyeshadow bases and you can even depot them to save time from sharpening. The only two things that I hate about these pencils, no.1 is the packaging. The lid or the cap cracks easily because there's no stopper so you don't have any control in putting back the cap on. No. 2, they smudge and they don't stay on for long hours (unless you use it as an eyeshadow base and prime your eyes prior to the application).

I got my NYX jumbo eye pencils from NYX Cosmetics by Onlineshoppingzone and they are my NYX supplier. I got each pencil for PhP 140.00.

WET N WILD IDOL EYES CREME SHADOW PENCIL

I got this pencil at the Cosmetologie 2012 last Feb.22. My sister also bought one because we wanted to compare it to the NYX jumbo eye pencils. The texture and quality of this pencil is the same with the NYX jumbo eye pencils. The only difference is the size because as you can see, it's a very short jumbo eye pencil. It's not really called Wet N Wild jumbo eye pencils but it's called the Idol Eyes creme shadow liner. I got the shade Distress which is a very gorgeous blue color.

I got this pencil with 40% discount so I got this for only PhP 160.00 but the original price is around PhP 190.00.

L.A. COLORS JUMBO EYE PENCILS

It was just recently when I found out that L.A. Colors also have jumbo eye pencils and I found them at SM Dept. Store in Cubao. I bought two shades because I wanted to see if they're the same with the ones from NYX and Wet N Wild.

They are shorter than the NYX jumbo eye pencils but they're bigger than the Wet N Wild idol eyes (obviously). The colors are also very pigmented but they are creamier. If you're going to look at the cap of the pencils in the photo above, there's a stain on the edge. The L.A. Colors jumbo eye pencils are so creamy that even with just a light touch, it will transfer onto anything. That's why when I put back the cap on, I accidentally touched the tip of the pencil and a little product transferred onto the cap.

As for the packaging, L.A. Colors' packaging is the best for me because they have a stopper so there would be no accidental sliding of the cap too far (if you know what I mean). I got the shades Vacation and Desert Sun.
I got each pencils for PhP 119.00.

SWATCHES!

FINAL THOUGHTS

For me, the best jumbo eye pencil is the NYX jumbo eye pencil. L.A. Colors is okay but it's just too creamy for my taste (LOL) and Wet N Wild is just expensive for me. NYX JEP is PhP 140.00 for 5 grams, L.A. Colors is PhP 119.00 for 3.8 grams and Wet N Wild Idol Eyes is around PhP 190.00. I don't know the exact net weight of Wet N Wild Idol Eyes but obviously, it has lesser product than the two other jumbo eye pencils because it's the shortest yet it's the most expensive one. So no, thank you!

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil wins because price is reasonable, good color payoff and there are a lot of shades to choose from. :)
Which do you think is the best jumbo eye pencil?

Stay awesome my dear dudettes! :)
