Product Rave-iew: Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation

Hi everyone! Welcome to my first product review for the year 2014! Hehe!

Lately, I've been busy with school works, events, and I'm more focused in my YouTube channel. I missed writing products reviews and sharing here in my blog my makeup works so here I am! I want to share with you this product that I've been really loving. I've been using this particular foundation for months now and I just can't stop using it ever since I first tried it and found out how awesome it is! Ladies, meet my current favorite foundation, the Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation (whoa, that's a mouthful)!

This is the first foundation that I've tried from Avon and I just want to say that this makes me want to try more of their foundations! The Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation comes in a small squeezable bottle which contains 30g of the product. It has a small nozzle which I like because it avoids the product from spilling and you can control the amount of product you're going to use.

I'm sorry for the dirty nozzle. I've been using it a lot!

What made me fall in love with this product is its amazing coverage! This liquid foundation by Avon is a little thick in consistency but it's not heavy on the face. It blends and sets well on the skin like a BB cream which is just awesome because even though the texture is not that thick, it still provides amazing coverage. It can conceal dark circles, redness of the skin and other blemishes. However, it cannot fully conceal really dark spots and I guess, you need two layers to fully conceal dark circles but that's okay. The coverage is still commendable. It also gives a smooth and luminous finish. Every time I use this foundation, I get a lot of compliments and people always ask me what foundation I used because they said my skin looks really smooth and flawless. Hihi! Another plus factor is that the Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation has SPF 15/PA++. Oh, it has a mild floral scent which I actually like.

See how it was able to conceal the imperfections on my face? Amazing, isn't it? But the coverage isn't the only reason why I love this foundation. Longevity counts, too, you know and this foundation has great staying power as well. The coverage stays on for long hours without retouching at all. Here's my usual photo test:

I took a selfie around 4pm after doing my complete makeup and before I went to school today. Then around 7pm, I went back home and immediately took another selfie to compare. As you can see, coverage is still good and I got just a little bit oily on my t-zone and cheek area. Then I went to TriNoMa with my sister and our Mom without retouching nor even blotting my face because I really want to show you the foundation's quality. We shopped a little, dined in, and watched a movie. Bride For Rent starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim is a really funny movie, by the way. Hehe! Anyway, we got home at around 12:30AM already. I did some things first and before I removed my makeup, I took another selfie. The foundation started to fade out under my eyes and between my nose and lips and my skin got oilier but the coverage is still not bad at all! It's still pretty good! Isn't it amazing? Isn't it surprising? (Sorry, I still have a Kim Chiu hangover from watching the movie)

I absolutely love the Avon Ideal Luminous Invisible Coverage Liquid Foundation! I'm already running out of it and I will 100% surely repurchase. The powder that I used in the photo test above by the way is Fashion 21 Two Way Cake with Milk Moisturizers. You might think that the powder helped in the foundation's longevity but I've used different powders already to set this foundation and I always get the same result. :)

Avon 8-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

I'm on a role tonight! I haven't been blogging a lot lately because I'm more focused in doing videos for my YouTube channel. So now, I'm going to make it up by writing my second blog post for the night! :D

Last November, I received these Avon 8-in-1 Eyeshadow Palettes along with the other Avon Holiday Collection. The first thing that I noticed is that the packaging is very simple but I love that the cover has a window so you can already see what are the colors inside. When you open it, you'll find two dual-ended sponge applicators which I know most of us rarely use. Hehe! I got three palettes --- The Blues, The Metallics, and The Greens.

The Blues palette

- This is for perfect for sultry looks and for formal makeup looks. I like the variety of colors.

The Metallics palette

- This palette is more colorful than the other two palettes but even though it has bright colors, I love the gradient and I still think it is balanced because you have your light colors and dark colors.

The Greens palette

- I think this palette is perfect for this season! The brown and the green shades are my favorite!

Each palette has a mix of matte, shimmer, and satin eyeshadows. Most of the satin and shimmer eyeshadows have good color pay off but the matte ones are not that pigmented. The texture is silky when you touch it but some of them are quite chalky and powdery so they doesn't show up very well when you apply it on the eyelids. Some of the shades though are commendable because of the pigmentation and that what you see is what you really get.

If I have to rate this palette, I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. It's not the best but it's not bad as well. The Avon 8-in-1 Eyeshadow Palette costs P499.00. Contact your Avon ladies/dealers to get your own palette. :)

10-Minute Smokey Eyes

Hi everyone!

I just want to share with you this very easy and simple brown smokey eyes that I did using my Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Chocolate Sensation! :)

When I first did this makeup look, I didn't film a tutorial for it but when I shared my photo on my Facebook page and personal account, people seemed to love it and requested for a video tutorial so I decided to recreate the look.

I know the first look is more intense because of my contact lens. Also, on the second part, I winged the eyeliner a little so they may not look exactly the same but the I did the same eyeshadow works. I paired this smokey eyes with my Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Mauvey plus my Glory of New York Clear Gloss. In the video, you won't see how I applied foundation and how I did my eyebrows because I have separate videos for that. Click here to watch my foundation routine and here for my eyebrow routine. :)

Avon Ultra Color Lipsticks Review and Swatches

One of my favorite kinds of makeup is lipstick! I love playing with colors and I'm not afraid in trying different shades because it's just super fun! :) We have a lot of different awesome lipsticks in the beauty market and we all have our own favorites. Recently, I found my new favorite lipsticks --- the Avon Ultra Color Lipsticks! :)

The Avon Ultra Color Lipstick have new formulation that will make it appear true to its color. It's available in 12 different head-turning, vibrant colors! I have 5 rockin' shades, Knockout Pink, Dream Fuchsia, Lava Love, Crush, and Hibiscus.

All of the shades have rich color and most of them are highly pigmented! You actually get what you see from the lipstick tube with just one layer though few of the shades, like Hibiscus, need about two layers to really show its true color on your lips but it's not really a big deal. Also, some of the shades, like Dream Fuchsia and Knockout Pink, are a bit frosted when you look at it but not really dramatically. They just appear shinier on the lips.

Crush - This shade is my favorite among the 5 shades that I have! It's a berry color with rich pigmentation! I love it so much. Perfect for this Holiday season! :)

Lava Love - My next favorite shade! Most of you know how much I love the red! This may not be a perfect red but I like how it makes a simple look appear more lively. It's an orange-red color, like the color scarlet.

Dream Fuchsia - A gorgeous muted purple color!

Hibiscus - Now, this is something that most girls would love. First, it's pink and second, it's the shade of pink that you can wear for everyday looks! Although it's a bright pink shade, it's not too dramatic so it will look great whatever your complexion is.

Knockout Pink - A mauve shade that is perfect for everyday looks, too and for sultry makeup looks!

The Avon Ultra Color Lipsticks are very rich and creamy so it glides on smoothly on the lips. It's not really a moisturizing lipstick but it doesn't dry out my lips neither. It stays on for long hours but it doesn't really stay on the whole day. I'd say, about 3-4 hours. I also mentioned on my video that by the end of the day, the color fades out on the middle part of my lips so it may look like I only have a lip liner on the edge of my lips. It doesn't bother me, anyway. For its affordable price (P375.00), I think it's still commendable and pretty awesome! Oh, and if you're curious about the scent, it has a hint of vanilla scent but I don't really care about it because it's not too strong for me. :)

Avon Makeup Council September-October Haul

Hello everyone!

One of the benefits of being a member of the Avon Makeup Council is we get to experience their monthly featured products. The products for September were delayed so those products were sent to us together with the October featured products. I was absolutely happy when I finally received this orange bag full of Avon goodies! Yeyyy! :)

Huge AVON Haul

This post is way long overdue but I decided to still blog about it because it's worth raving (and bragging) for. Hihi! Last month, I won the Avon You Make It Beautiful Blogger Challenge along with 19 other fellow beauty bloggers and now, we are already part of the Avon Makeup Council. Yey!!! You can read all about my Avon story here. :)

So, this haul post will have two parts. Let's start first with the products that I received for our Avon final challenge entry. Here are the products that I got and FYI, we didn't get the chance to pick the products of our own choice. They just had us randomly pick a loot bag and we didn't have any idea what's inside. So here's mine:

1. Avon Ideal Luminous Dual Powder Foundation in Natural Beige (P515.00)

     - I didn't get to use this in my entry because the powder is darker than my skin color and it's a bit pinkish, too but I think the texture is silky and very fine.

2. Avon Glimmersticks Brow Definer in Soft Black (P250.00)

     - Like the dual powder, I also didn't use this in my final look because it's in black and I have hazel blonde hair so I thought I would look a little funny. But I like that it's retractable and has good pigmentation.

3. Avon Glimmersticks Eye Liner in Blackest Black (P250.00)

     - I used this liner for my entry to create that sexy smokey look and I love its texture because it glides on smoothly and has good color payoff as well.

4. Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Chocolate Sensation (P449.00)

     - Now, I thought this is one of the best palettes that I've seen! I love every shades and the pigmentation of the eye shadows are commendable. The palette is a mix of satin, metallic, and matte eye shadows. I was actually really happy when I found out that this is the palette that I got for my final challenge entry! :)

5. Avon Supershock Max Mascara (P420.00)

     - I don't know about you but I actually love its fat and thick wand! What's interesting is that, even though the wand is huge, the bristles are short and tiny so it does a good job in separating my eyelashes and adding more volume. Love it!

6. Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Rose Luster (P370.00)

     - This blush is really pigmented but to be honest, it's nothing out of the ordinary.

7. Avon Ultra Color Lipsticks in Knockout Pink and Hibiscus (P379.00)

     - Of course, my favorite part of this haul --- the lipsticks!!! We all got 2 tubes of lipsticks and what I got are the shades Knockout Pink (left) and Hibiscus (right). I like the shade Hibiscus better but I chose Knockout Pink for my entry because it matches my sultry look much better. :)

8. Avon Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss in Mauve Movement (P299.00)

     - I'm not a big fan of lip glosses and the only lip glosses that I love are the ones from Careline, NYX and Glory of New York and after trying out this Ultra Glazewear lip gloss, I guess you can also include Avon in the list. *wink*

Since we won the Avon You Make It Beautiful Blogger Challenge, we were given the chance to join the makeup workshop with Ms. Lauren Andersen, Avon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist!!! It was such an honor to be in that makeup workshop. We learned a lot from the gorgeous and very talented Lauren.

This was our table. Actually, there should be only two persons per table that's why only two sets of makeup were arranged.
