1 Brand Makeup Tutorial: San San Cosmetics / HBC (Pin Up Girl Edition)

My subscribers and followers seem to be interested more in reading and watching about local products and drugstore finds. Maybe because they have easier access to those products, and of course, they are affordable! Perfect for... well, not really kuripot but perfect for a "practical" girl like me! Agree?

So, I decided to do another one brand makeup tutorial. This is only my second. The first one that I did was already a year ago and I featured Ever Bilena/Careline in that one. When I checked my YouTube account's analytics, I discovered that that video was my major hit and got the highest number of views among all of my videos. My next major hit was my Brown and Peach Makeup Tutorial using Local Cosmetics! Within just 1 month, that video gained 1k+ views and my videos usually take a few months before hitting over 1k of views.

That's why I decided to do another practical but awesome makeup tutorial, of course! Also, a lot have been requesting me to do another 1 brand makeup tutorial using San San or HBC products. Well, your wish is my command! ;-)

I thought of adding a theme in my 1 brand makeup tutorials and this time, I decided to go retro! Here's a pin up makeup look using all SAN SAN COSMETICS / HBC PRODUCTS!

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter that much if the products that you're using are high-ends or drugstore ones. It's all about the execution, how you wear it and how you carry yourself! Right? E wala tayong magagawa kung 'yan lang talaga ang keri ng bulsa ng karamihan sa atin, 'di ba? ;-)
If you know how to be confident and if you executed proper makeup application, no one can really tell if you're wearing high end cosmetics or local cosmetics. So, don't be shy ladies! Some drugstore cosmetics are better than the expensive ones. Just because a product is expensive, it doesn't mean it's better than the drugstore ones. I know a lot of beauty bloggers will agree... based on their product reviews. Hihi!

Anyway, I blogged about my San San/HBC Haul a few days ago before I uploaded my video. HBC products are already affordable but it was so cool that when I bought the products that I used in this look, HBC was on sale! Hooray for that! Check out my HBC haul here to find out how much did I pay for everything!

Here is the video tutorial:

PRODUCTS USED:
*The prices next to each products are their original prices. Please read my HBC Haul to know their sale prices.*

FACE
San San Matte Liquid Foundation No. 3 (P130.00)
*Read my review here*
San San Soleil Matte Foundation (discontinued, boooo!!!)
San San Pressed Powder No. 1 Refill (P70.00)
San San Cheek Blusher in Mocha Blush (P102.00)

QUICK TIP!!!
San San doesn't have any contouring powder so I chose their darkest blusher. I applied it in an angled upward direction to sculpt my cheek bones. This is a good technique if you don't have any contouring powder OR you can even use the eyebrow pencil for contouring. ;-)

EYES AND BROWS
San San Eyebrow Pencil No. 3 (P55.00)
San San Allue Eyeshadow Duo in Golden Game (P59.50)
San San Age Defying Trio Eyeshadow (P101.00)
*Read my review here*
San San Kohl Eyeliner in Black (P105.00)
San San Age Defying Liquid Liner (P75.00)
San San Mascara Long Lash (P125.00)
HBC Essentials False Eyelashes in NE42 (P20.75)

LIPS
San San Creamy Matte Lipstick in Really Red (P125.00)

See how affordable the products are? Not to mention that I got most of them at discounted prices! :) And FYI, HBC creates awesome products (i.e. matte liquid foundations, eyebrow pencils, blushers, etc.)

Please let me know what makeup brand you want me to feature in my next one brand tutorial. Also, tell me if you want me to do a review in any of the products that I used for this pin up girl look. Talk soon!

Stay awesome and accomplish your mission! ;)
